Alexis continued her education at Ramapo College of New Jersey, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a focus in Criminology. During her time there, Alexis was an ESL teacher, donating her time to teach adults how to speak, read and write in English. She wasn’t done just yet though, she went on to attend Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, where she completed a Master’s Program in Public Administration.

Alexis did this while working full time for a local municipality as the assistant to the CFO, bartending part time and finishing her degree on the Dean’s List. During her time with the Township, Alexis became acclimated to the government bidding processes, grant reading and writing, etc. After this, she moved on to begin hiring software engineers where she learned the practice of hiring for an importance of hiring for the company’s needs. These skills later transferred to her role within NJF, where she helps our CEO remain organized, assists with bid proposals for government contracts, as well as other administrative tasks including payroll. 

In addition to her career, Alexis enjoys giving back to her community. Whether it be through her own non profit where she sponsors a family in need for the holidays or through NJF sponsorships, her main goal is to be able to give back.
